Gardening hints:
- Dip plant cuttings in cinnamon before planting. The cinnamon acts as a mild fungicide, preventing rot developing in the cutting.
- Put coffee grounds around the plants in your garden. The grounds are a great source of nitrogen and when mixed with leaf matter, makes a good garden mulch.
- Soak the coffee grounds in water to make a liquid fertilizer.
- Put grounds wherever you want to deter pets and pests.

Just trust your instinct, follow these basic rules with a willingness to learn what your garden has to teach you about itself, and you’ll feel the thrill that happens when you pick your own succulent produce and proudly prepare it for your friends and family.
