How To Die Consciously (Four Things to Consider)

November 29, 2009 by Caro · Leave a Comment

Pluto rules the underworld, the place one goes after death, and in order to pass the border, a price is agreed upon. Something is given to pay for the new wealth, the gain in psychological and spiritual knowledge.

Why do I have to die?
That’s the million-dollar question that many of us will ask at least once during our life. If not when we’re still fit and healthy, then usually as we’re sliding further down the slippery slope towards our apparent annihilation.

We used to know how to die well, consciously preparing for each step along the way. It wasn’t until the late eighteenth century, that the process of dying and death changed from being a part of the life-death continuum, to something abhorrent and fearful.

With the development of modern scientific medicine in the early nineteenth century, death was relegated to the ‘things that shouldn’t happen to us anymore’ pile, along with plague, smallpox and polio.

So how did we manage to die well, before our modern reductionist bio-medical model of disease encouraged us to see our life as a purely physical-molecular phenomenon?

Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere - Time for Reflection

June 19, 2009 by Caro · 1 Comment

Take Some Me Time to Enjoy and Benefit from the Winter Solstice

In the southern hemisphere our Summer Solstice falls in the three days 20 - 23 June. This period is caused by the sun appearing to stand still for three days

During this time we welcome the shortest day and longest night. For those of us in the southern hemisphere, the sun has reached its northernmost rising and setting points - it seems a long way away.

But good news! Even though it may feel as if it’s mid winter, it’s actually all up from here. After the 23 June the days begin to get longer and the nights shorter.  The earth is warming for new shoots to emerge.

Triangles - Visualisation for Planetary Healing

June 9, 2009 by Caro · 1 Comment

What is Triangles?

Triangles is a type of meditation where three people link each day in thought for a few minutes of creative visualisation.

The visualisation is a way to help bring healing light and love into the planet using the collective power of positive, conscious thought.

The three in the triangle don’t have to do the visualisation at the same time, they can live anywhere and have never met. The just sit and visualise light and goodwill circulating through the three focal points (themselves and the other two in the triangle) of each triangle, and pouring out through the network of triangles surrounding the planet. Full Moon Meditation and the Three Spiritual Festivals

June 3, 2009 by Caro · Leave a Comment

What is Meditation?
There is a way, which can be learned and practiced by which the consciousness can be focussed aligned and turned towards the first source of spiritual inspiration–the soul This starts with mental activity; not only that of the lower mind, the analysing, directing faculty, but also the ability to bring the lower mind, through conscious direction into alignment with the higher mind and soul. A thought or “seed idea” contemplated in the light of the soul produces new thoughts, mental illumination, which the lower mind interprets and applies.

Because meditation is concerned with mental receptivity, it is essentially a means of channelling energy. Scientists today tend to agree that ”all is energy”–a basic occult aphorism. The life force that holds all manifestation in being, is energy; consciousness is response to the energy infusing human hearts and minds. Clearly directed thought in meditation, with the mind held steady in the light of the soul, is a scientific means ofcontacting those major aspects of the life force we call light and love and power, giving them right interpretation, and directing them, in the form of ideas and planning, into specific activity.

Wesak Spiritual Festival

April 27, 2009 by Caro · Leave a Comment

High in the Tibet-Himalayan foothills a spiritual ceremony is being prepared. This is the spiritual festival of Wesak.  It is said that at the moment of the Taurus full moon in May, the Buddha returns to bless the world.  This blessing transmits renewed spiritual life to all on earth.

Some may never know it happened, others of us may feel an upwelling of spiritual insight, goodwill and empowerment, and those who are there will be taking part in an age-old ceremonial gathering. They will find their way into the Himalayan valley and gather there.

The legend tell us that amongst the everyday men and women will also be found great Beings who are the Custodians on Earth of the spiritual Plan for our planet. At the moment of the full moon all present will feel a potent vibration which, it is said, stimulates the souls of all present, fusing and blending the group into one united whole. What Does it Mean to Be Spiritual?

December 8, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

When the census asks you your religion and you choose ‘spiritual’, what do you mean?  For many of us the word ‘religion’ does not describe how we frame our beliefs about why we’re here, what we’re here for, or how we find meaning in our everyday lives.
