Our Collective Destiny has Shifted Focus - North & South Nodes

The Nodes have changed signs.

Nodes have a general vibe of ‘the lazy way’ (south node) and ‘the way with more work’ (north node). The placement of the Nodes in the Natal Chart (birth chart) indicates the areas in which you’ll likely experience these polarities.

The ‘lazy’ way
The South Node’s position shows the way of ‘least resistance’, as if it’s really familiar, a well-worn path, walked many life’s before. It can often be a place of unconscious response, as it is so automatic, it is done without thought - those ways of going about things, those reactions, done in a split second.

The ‘way of more work’
the North Node’s position is most likely so unconscious that it doesn’t appear to even exist, as far as you can see. The ’seeds’ of it are there; they need cultivation, nurturing and awareness. This ‘placement’ isn’t as easy as the ‘other’ - it’s like you have to work at it - yet strangely you find yourself again and again in ‘places’ which need it’s talents and approach. It’s as if life is moving you into areas that need these skills - you’re being asked to develop them. They’re there - just a little deeply buried - who wants work when there’s an easy way to do it - so we fall into our South Node again and again.

It’s not like the South Nodes the baddie - no - his skills are very useful, you’ve spent lifetimes learning them. But there’s more learning to do now - you need to expand your repertoire of responses - walk along different paths, create new moments.

What are the Nodes?
The Nodes are Astrological calculated points in the chart - where the orbit of the Moon crosses the Ecliptic. The Ecliptic is the path of the Sun across the ‘heavens’.

The Ascending Node is where the Moon crosses north of the Ecliptic, the Descending Node where it crosses at the southern point.
The Nodes usually move through a sign within 18 months - they also move in a retrograde motion, that is, in reverse.

Over the last 18 months the North Node was in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo - they changed only recently to North Node in Capricorn and South Node in Cancer.

The Nodes are always in opposing signs - they both need to learn the middle ground, the whole picture, and not just the end bits.
So when the Nodes change signs profound changes in our world are possible - Nodes are a powerful karmic force in the zodiac.

North Node in Capricorn
With the North Node now in Capricorn our focus, our destiny here and now is to
• get serious
• get earth focused
• build new sustainable, long living structures
• be super committed
• hard work to be done
• time for ‘rolling up your sleeves’
• great perseverance required

Nodes in Aquarius time has left us with many ideas and ways of working together - now we just need to get down to the nitty gritty and do it.
Saturn is Capricorn’s ruler - and he’s know as the planet of Karma - welcome to karma time!! How have we sowed? What shall we reap?

Cancer South Node

With Cancer sharing one of the nodal positions - our home, family, loved ones and sense of community are highlighted and the deepest sense of ourself. How do we integrate our emotional and very basic human needs with the building of structures to support us? Are these structures truly supporting us or are they built for ‘other’ purposes and with ulterior motives?

The time has arrived dear folks - of reckoning. No longer will we be able to get away with actions that are not for the best interest of all human beings. Our basic needs will come more and more to the fore - what we need to survive will be hard to ignore.

We have become so accustomed to building with sticks, glued together with spit! And like the emperor with no clothes, convinced each other that we had created palaces. Lies and deceit have been spread and much unconscious action. We have lived in this ‘illusion’ of comfort and wealth for too long now - the natural cycles have come once again to remind us that we are mere mortals, not gods - that we depend on this Earth for our life here, we have no other home. We will be reminded that we require more than ‘things’ to live a truly wholesome and happy life. We will be reminded of our roots and our destiny, that we are all going to leave this earth and take nothing with us.

If we’re lucky we will realize what an immensely precious gift this human life is and how fortunate we are to have it. We will maybe learn to love and take care of ourselves and by doing that understand that we need to love and take care of our dear Mother Earth.

Those who destroy and pollute it - jeopardising our very existence - should be hauled before the courts and appropriately reprimanded.
Time for lies and deceit has come to an end - these are serious times indeed!

But also these are very exciting times of new beginnings - yes they will take work, hard work, but that doesn’t exclude the joy and fun. These are very unique times we find ourselves in, where most likely the greatest changes in our living history are about to be brought about - they have to - if life on Earth is to continue as we know it.

So stand up and be counted, do your bit - no time for lounge chair commentary - time for us all to play a part.
